Written by Nicole Introduction The purpose of this paper is to compare experimental methods in order to acquire the optimal procedure to synthesize the compound 5-Methyl-5-hexen-2-one. Procedures will be scrutinized according to their cost and time efficiency, as well as the complexity and thoroughness of procedure in producing product at a high yield.
