Synthesis and Characterisation of Gold-Silver nanoparticles

Abstract Solutions of chloroauric acid and silver nitrate were reduced using sodium citrate to form nanoparticles of varying composition, whose optical properties and physical dimensions were measured, giving the result that the molar extinction coefficients of the solutions increased exponentially with decreasing mole fraction of gold in solution.
